Praying the Word of God

When praying for my husband, I like to pray the Word of God. One passage that I pray is Ephesians 1:16-21

I do not cease to give thanks for my husband, making mention of him in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to my husband the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of my husband's understanding being enlightened; that he may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

The husband is the head of the family, but the wife is the neck. After the Holy Spirit, we wives are best able to influence our husbands. For me, praying for him allows the Holy Spirit to work and I don't have to nag.
