Read any good books lately?

I love to read. I haven't done much reading lately, at least reading for enjoyment. My nose has been in a calculus textbook. Or Algebra II. Or reading to the boys. I'm not complaining. I enjoy reading to my boys. And I love math. I was reading some of the other blogs I follow and there seems to be lists of interesting books that others have read. So, please recommend an awesome book that you have recently read. Thanks.

What kind of books do you prefer? Action, epic, mystery, historical? I can suggest a few...I need to find my list and will email you a couple ideas.

I don't know if you like Jane Austen, but I am enjoying a series "about" her. Totally fictional, but written as if it is her journal. Old fashioned language, similar format to her writing, but new stories. Stephanie Barron is the author and the first in the series is "Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor"
Also recently read "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. Brilliantly written, as far a literature goes, but terribly depressing. Depends on what you are looking for in a book. After finishing it, I immediately read an entire three part series of pure fluff by Nora Roberts, just to rest my brain! Still love those too!

Hard to know what to recommend without knowing your tastes!!! I always tell people to read "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger if they haven't read it already. I love that book. And I have a book blog stuffed full of recommendations for you to browse through. Click on my posts labeled 5 stars, 4.5 stars, 4 stars or 3.5 stars to find stuff I really enjoyed. Here is the link:

If you can't find at least one book to read over there, I've not done a good job with it!
