I finished a baby quilt today. Or, my friend Melissa finished it for me. I got to visit with her today as she helped me get the quilt quilted and the binding put on. The boys had a great time playing and Melissa and I got to relax and chat. Melissa and I were room mates before we both got married. She is a dear friend to me, but lives too far away - way down in Tallahassee!
A couple in my church were expecting a baby and I wanted to do a quilt for them. I found out that they were going to name him Hunter and decorate using
camouflage. So first I picked out some fabric -

Then I pieced the top together -

Here I am with the finished product -

Another picture of just the quilt -

Then Joel wanted to pose -
And the best thing is that Hunter and his parents are coming home tomorrow. So I got it finished just in time. Thanks Melissa for all the great help!
Next one is for my niece Emma - she's expected March 17!

IT is beautiful!!!! LOVE it! and I know Hunter and his parents will love it too!
Great job on the quilt. I love to piece, but I can't quilt worth a flip! My sister always has to help with that part! Thank goodness for teamwork, right?!
BTW, March 17th is a great birthday! (it is Andy's)
You did a great job, mary!! Would you teach me how to quilt sometime? I would be a terrible student though as I know nothing about it.
Love, Tara
